The Last Show

I am sorry about the last post, i have thought of removing but it is not me. A hormonal and tired woman should never blog, it is a lesson i hope i have now learnt.
Things are fine here, actually better than fine. Hubby and i spent months apart and we are getting use to each other again. It is an amazing thing.

This was not my reason for blogging, it is Monday night and i am finally catching up on the finale of Ultimate Big Brother (Uk of course) . I am not interested in the winner but loving all the old house mates and the saying goodbye. The Jade Goody goodbye sent me into my first round of tears.

You have to understand that this show has been a part of my life since i was 18.
I remember picking up a magazine one weekend, i was at a party (or after party maybe ) and it was going in about this new show. I mention to those i with that it looked interesting and noone agreed of course. I started watching the next day, the first eviction had just happened and i was hooked.
I remember during the finale of season 1 running between my bedroom (tv) and my parents (live feed on computer ) .
I remember watching Brian win bb2 on the computer in Canada and spent way to many hours watching bb3 live feed.

Memories of big brother 2005 will always be mixed up with Rebecca's first days. She was so sick and it was on the Friday we realised how much. I remember leaving her sleeping in special care and going to watch the eviction in the tv room. For the first time in years, i was bored and the show seemed nothing. Out of no where my milk came in and i was quickly covered, i started crying and did not think i would ever stop. There i sat 2 days after giving birth for the first time covered in breastmilk and terrified my daughter was not going to make it- what the hell was i doing watching some stupud tv show.

I think after that it was never the same, part of me could never stop thinking if it as that stupid show. I continued watching out of habit without much interest and gave up completly in year 9 and 10. What happened with bb11 then? I have no idea how at 28 i ended up addicted yet again to the tv show that made my summer ten years before.

So now its done and dusted and i am going to stop blogging and actually watch the last episode

(please ignore errors on my phone and its harder for me to edit here)

Back

It has been much to long.

Our holiday is long over with as is our summer. Rebecca is now in school, Eilidh in nursery and Ruaridh approaching his second birthday. Craig has returned from his trips away and life is getting back to normal.

Accept it is not.

The older the kids get the more i feel like i am being left behind. I want to be a good wife and mother but am so caught up in self pitying that i am neither.

I deeply regreat making my blog so public and linked with me. I have so much i want to just put out there and talk about but i just cannot
Instead its just me, my phone and the tears.

I need to grow up and snap out of this, make peace with what the future holds and enjoy the ride.

It seems i really have been taken a bloggy break this summer , schools and such start back in less than 2 weeks and life will start to become normal again.

It less than 24 hours we are away to Spain for the week (and if your thinking of robbing t , my sister and her neice will be kitty sitting so someone will be living here) . I am sure i will have plenty to blog about when home.

Behind

I am not in a blogging mood just now.

I have no patience or desire to sit and write what I'm feeling , i compose posts in my head and when i have the time to write them i cannot be bothered .

I wanted to big this blog up , spend time making it into something better but for the moment i have to recognise its not going to happen .

I think it will be a task for after summer , when my life is less full and i get to stop and breathe .

It is not all bad , i have more than enough me time - hours i get to spend doing what i want - at the moment that is just not writing.

I am heavily in a reading phase , ever spare second i pick my ebook and start to read . I finished the Harry Potters novels and I'm now starting on my Stephen King read through , all his works and novels in chronological order . I am easily spending at least 5 hours a day reading and i don't want to stop .

I do have stuff to say and many posts sitting half finished but I'm going to stop worrying and just enjoy my being. Posting will be irregular till the other side of summer , commenting and reading blogs will also have to wait for now as 3 children and a little hand held device are calling my name .

Wilkinson Nappies

I was sent these to review a few weeks back and must apologies for taken so long . I admit I'm a little hesitant to write the review as its the first time i have not had 100% positive things to say about the product.

We are sort of cloth nappy users around here which means i normally do it for a week or so then cannot be bothered and use disposables for a week or so then swap again . I always use disposable for night time though as no matter how much inserts i add the kids would always be soaked in the morning with cloth .

These days we mix cloth with Tesco own brand nappies which i love , for years we used nothing but Pampers but realised supermarket own brand were just as good but half the price and you really don't get much better than that.

Wilkinson have recently been releasing a whole range of new products designed to be affordable for the modern family which i think is a wonderful idea.

The nappies come in your usual ranges - Cosy Dry, Active Fit and Easy Pant and usual sizes and cost a reasonable £3.74 per pack .

We received a pack of cosy dry size 5 to try and i admit they seemed very basic , the nappies had a horrible papery feel about them which turned me off straight away . My children (1 full time in nappies and 1 in them at night) did not noticed any difference and my 3 year old said them felt comfy and fine . They fit both children well (boy aged 1 around 29lbs and girl aged 3 37lbs)and we had no leaks or problems . They do the job and i cannot complain about that.

I would buy them again but when i know i could get supermarket own brands for not only cheaper and be happier with the quality then they would not be my first choice .
